About Me

This is my seventeenth year in public education. I started as a 5th and 6th grade teacher in a country school outside of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. After seven years of teaching, I served as a dean of students at a junior high, which developed into an assistant principalship along with athletic director duties. As an elementary principal for the Mineral Point Unified School District, I am enjoying the curriculum, instruction and assessment side of education. I write for ASCD (www.ascd.org) and Lead Literacy (www.leadliteracy.com).

  1. Hi, Matt. I teach 7th/8th grade ELA in North Carolina, and I wanted to share my resource, http://www.GrammarFlip.com, with you. If you find it to be of value, please feel free to share it with the larger educational community in whichever way you choose. If you have any questions regarding it, I’d be more than happy to answer them for you. I just launched http://www.GrammarFlip.com in September and will be making updates once I receive some feedback from my users (both teachers and students).
Thanks so much for your time, and all the best!
